    About Us

Saint Vincent College, founded in 1846 by Archabbot Boniface Wimmer, is a private, liberal arts college located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Known for the strength of its community and rooted in Benedictine principles, its mission is to provide a valuable education for students that enables them to integrate professional aims with the broader purposes of human life, bridging the gap between historical and contemporary perspectives.

Consistently ranked as one of the best liberal arts institutions in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, Saint Vincent offers more than 60 academic programs taught by fulltime professors—92% of whom hold PhDs or other terminal degrees. Of those programs, an impressive number are nationally ranked, including cybersecurity, criminology, theology, engineering, management: operational excellence, and education. Saint Vincent’s educational philosophy is grounded in personal relationships between students and professors across disciplines that underscore a dedication to the liberal arts tradition.
