    Saint Vincent College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is offering a seminar – Succession Planning, on Tuesday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the Saint Vincent College campus. The program is being sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank.


    Succession planning is a vital step in ensuring the future success of a company and is also a process that is often overlooked. This educational program will help guide attendees in making the best succession planning decisions for their business.


    Presenters for the program are Brian J. Kahle, of Tucker/Arenberg Attorneys, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Maryann White-Helfferich, CPA/ABV-Partner of Kelly, Sparber White & Associates LLC. Kahle is a transactional planning attorney who assists entrepreneurial clients in all phases of their business from formation, through growth and succession to the next generation or sale.  White-Helfferich specializes in the valuation of small, closely-held businesses for purposes of mergers/acquisitions, succession planning, estate and gift taxes and shareholder transactions.


    The fee for this program is $35 per person and includes continental breakfast.  Registration is at  9:30 a.m., and the program begins at 10 a.m.
