February 2019 Member of the Month - Solutionist SWAG

Finding the right piece of customized merchandise to suit an event or company might be just another challenge on a to-do list, but Solutionist SWAG helped make that task easy and enjoyable. Founder of Solutionist SWAG, Dan the SWAG Man has become synonymous with creating products that attract attention, no matter what client or occasion. For many years, Solutionist SWAG has brought unique products that last longer than a brochure and fliers, which can get tossed aside in the trash. By showcasing a business through customized items from graphic tee-shirts to embroidered polos to engraved wine glasses and bamboo cutting boards, a lasting impression is sure to be made!

Solutionist SWAG was started out of sheer determination. Two previous employers of Dan remarked that a business specializing in SWAG was never going to be popular. Thus, Solutionist SWAG was born and Dan has been proving them wrong ever since. Initially branded as “Right-Brained, Left Handed, Right Hand Man”, Dan shortened his title to just “Solutionist.”
 

The title of “Solutionist” fits Dan very well. His twenty years of expertise means he has seen nearly every type of situation, and that he can provide the best solution to his clients. This dedication and creativity gave him a well-deserved reputation for excellence.  “When I provide a product for a client and they smile and say something like, ‘This is really cool!’ or ‘You got back to me so quickly!’ that really makes my day,” Dan says. All this positive attention comes from the very laid-back attitude Dan has in regards to sales. “It may sound corny, but I never sell, I’m here if you need me. High impact, low pressure.” Dan’s philosophy behind his success is very straightforward but rings true. “It’s a very simple formula. Show up consistently, have fun, and ‘be a good dude.’”

Solutionist SWAG has been providing Greater Latrobe- Laurel Valley Chamber Members with unique branded items for many years. During this time, Dan has made a network through the Chamber. “All of my new business comes through referrals,” he says, “and most of my referrals come from the Chambers.” GLLV Chamber members know that products from Solutionist SWAG not only fit the bill but also are of high quality.

During his time working with Solutionist SWAG, Dan has also been a continued advocate for small businesses. His advocacy has not only been within the Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley area but also both in the state and national capitols. His time advocating in Washington D.C. and Harrisburg has prepared him for his time currently campaigning for Hempfield Township Supervisor.

Solutionist SWAG specializes in creating unique items that help people remember a business and leave an impression. And over the past fourteen years as a businessman, Dan the SWAGman has made an impression on his clients. Dan remarks, “... People may not remember my name but they do remember me as SWAGman!”
